Formulating and Manufacturing Nutritional Supplements
We assume you know what you want in a formula or your customer told you what he
wanted, but what comes next? Will it work, be cost effective, give more rework than it’s
worth? This is a two-day course and book that presents 11 different topics in basic
formulating for both tablets and hard shell capsules. The topics covered are: introduction,
understanding raw materials, dose sizing and potency calculations, basic tablet press
operation; common problems and resolution, basic encapsulation; common problems and
resolution, single entity vitamins, multiple entity vitamins, herbal formulas, sustained
release vitamin formulas, and a formulating workshop. The textbook covers all subjects
and includes both a workshop and an optional final examination for certification as a
formulator. 420 pages
