Take a look at this tablet press. To the right we see the powder hopper emptying powder in to the feed frame. This press goes from left to right, so we see the punches passing over the feeder with good clearance. But what a money loser this set up is, no matter what you might say. Look to the left. As the round tablets come off the machine, so does a significant quantity of powder. See it to the immediate left of the clear plastic knock off blade? “We’re in nutritional supplements and we just collect the powder and dump it back into the hopper. We don’t care” And what about tablet quality at the end of the hopper? Fix the problem. Happy March, Spring is coming! |
