If you find burned or charred material in both your powder and tablets, you have either a raw material problem or processing problem or both. Look at the bottom of this screen used in a standard Comil. These mills are excellent for preparing powder for compressing or filling into capsules. In this case the screen was dropped on the floor and was dented right at the bottom. Using this screen is dangerous because material might get stuck around the dent, char and then pass out into the drum. Always check your screens, even when you believe you don’t necessarily have a problem. |
